Dog Training

We hope everyone those who attended our Dog Training sessions felt they were worthwhile. Please look for upcoming events. Special thanks to Leigh from Opportunity Barks who has run the sessions. She comes with this great recommendation:

  • "Leigh has an uncommon compassion and insight with animals that helps her achieve success when other methods have failed."

SPDOA Membership

Seger Park Dog Owners Association (SPDOA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, entirely managed by volunteers. We work with the Seger Park Advisory Board to care for the dog run and keep it safe for dogs and their owners. Your contribution – and your active participation in SPDOA events & activities – demonstrates how much you care about your dog & your community.

The City lets us use a corner of the park; the non-profit SPDOA does all the rest. Members make maintenance possible.

We just completed a major resurfacing project. It's estimated that we'll need $5,000 a year to maintain the park - we urge you to join and help keep the park maintained.

Mission and About Seger Dog Run

The Seger Park Dog Owners Association, a nonprofit corporation, administers the off-leash dog run at Seger Park. Located at 10th and Lombard Streets, Seger Park is a charming urban open space that is maintained by the Department of Recreation, the Seger Advisory Council, and the community. Seger Park accommodates multiple user populations. It features several basketball and tennis courts, numerous tot-only areas and a handful of benches distributed across the park's 72,000 square feet of space. For years, dog owners had utilized the hill at Seger to exercise their pets and interact with their neighbors. Now this site is formally recognized as an off-leash dog run.
